Falstone Show 2022 was a great success
After not having a show for three years, most of the committee were scratching their heads as to what ‘we usually do’ & where to find all the equipment needed to put on a show! I’m pleased to report the show went ahead –despite the inclement weather. The hardy folks of the North Tyne just put on their waterproofs and carry on. All in the spirit of its good to be back.
Since the last show in 2019 Falstone Show has seen several changes. Earlier this year Johnny Carse (Treasurer) resigned from his post. The position was taken over by Fiona Symons who has proved she is more than capable in this role. Gloria Armstrong – our secretary for the last thirty years confirmed that she would be retiring after this years Show. Both Gloria and Johnny have devoted an immense amount of time and energy to the success of our Show. Gloria and Johnny were both presented with gifts from the committee.
Sadly in November 2021 the President of Falstone Show, Matthew Festing died while attending the Cathedral in Valletta, Malta. Matthew served the Show well for twenty years.
The Role of President has been taken on by Micky Macgregor – who did a sterling job presenting the cups.
As with every chapter that ends another one begins.
The 2022 Winners have been published.
