Considering the summer, we’ve had Falstone show day was a fabulous summer day. If you didn’t mind a short shower late afternoon. This year’s show had a new venue, thanks to the weather stopping the grass from being cut and baled on the usual field. The new field at Hawkhope pasture seemed to be a hit with most show goers.
The first show for our new secretary – Fiona Symons and Treasurer Sheena Robinson. It certainly feels like the show is in very capable hands. With the entries being up on previous years there was lots to see in the industrial tent and some fierce competition. A slight challenge for the Stewards to fit all the delicious looking home baking in.
All the usual attractions were on show, with the addition of a Vintage Vehicle section and a display by the Forestry Commission. The craft tent was full of an array of goodies to buy or simply view. This year’s show even had the internet!! Thanks to help from The North Tyne and Redesdale Community Partnership.
